The complete eighth series of the ITV crime thriller based on the novels by Ann Cleeves. The show follows Detective Chief Inspector Vera Stanhope (Brenda Blethyn), Detective Sergeant Aiden Healy (Kenny Doughty) and their team as they carry out various murder investigations across Northumberland. The episodes are: 'Blood and Bone', 'Black Ice', 'Home' and 'Darkwater'.

Felix McClure, an Oxford University professor, is stabbed to death in his college study. Not only was he an expert in his field but he was one of the University's key fund-raisers. The investigation focuses on Brooks, a one-time cleaner for McClure who quit his college job abruptly after a student, Mathew Rodway, jumped out of a college window high on drugs. When Morse learns that Brooks' daughter was the object of affection for both Rodway and another student, he has another possible suspect. Brooks' wife also worked for one of McClure's friends and Morse uncovers a conspiracy that he may not be able to prove.

Sixteen ambitious entrepreneurs start their fight for a life-changing investment of £250,000 as the battle to become Lord Sugar's next business partner begins. 　　Summoned to the boardroom at midnight, Lord Sugar warns the candidates that clichés won't cut it, and spells out what he is looking for. Then it is onto the task, which is as supersized as their egos. Each team is given a shipping container stuffed with imported products, and the candidates must work through the night to sell the lot.
